Research Biography

Tamara is an early career researcher with experience in both quantitatative and qualitative research methods. Her research interests can be broadly described as non-pharmacological interventions and preventative health, but she is also intersted in how we might improve the quality of life outcomes for people living with chronic conditions. Her PhD thesis reports a community based RCT which considered a novel intervention for the treatment of the physical and psychosocial signs and symptoms of acne vulgaris in both adolescent and adult populations. Since joining the Flinders Digital Health Research Centre, she has worked on the DACs grant investigating how technology can support ageing in place, and has recently moved into the well-being portfolio, how digital technology can reduce risk factors for chronic disease, and improve health outcomes for people living and working in the community.
