Personal profile

Research Biography

I am a health sciences researcher with expertise in frailty prevention, behavioural epidemiology, co-design, and translational ageing research. My PhD in Health Sciences examined pre-frailty and frailty in middle-aged adults aged 40–65, with a focus on behavioural, psychological, and social factors associated with frailty risk and progression. This work included systematic review, feasibility intervention, cross-sectional, longitudinal, and co-design studies, with findings published in Preventive Medicine and BMC Public Health.

My research is concerned with how early, feasible, and evidence-informed interventions can support healthy ageing before functional decline becomes entrenched. I have particular interests in resistance training, psychological and social determinants of ageing, intervention development, implementation, and the translation of research into practical supports for individuals, services, and health systems. I currently work as a Research Associate with Aged Care Research & Industry Innovation Australia, contributing to applied research and evaluation projects focused on evidence-informed change in aged care.
