Research Biography

Vanessa is a Senior Lecturer, Education and Academic Lead CMPH Discipline of Rural and Remote Health. She is Topic Coordinator of Facilitating Interprofessional Learning in the Masters of Clinical Education Course.She lives and works in Rural South Australia and has a strong passion for building stronger rural communties through education and research. Her clinical background in Nursing and Midwifery in acute, general practice and community settings have provided a strong foundation to scaffold clinical education relevant to the rural context. Her interest in collaborative practice and work ready graduates to improve patient outcomes, underpins her approach to the development and delivery of student learning.

Vanessa is currenty enrolled in a Research Higher Degree looking at Medical Students and the transfer of collaborative practice learning into the clinical setting.
