Research Biography
Dr Vivien Tong is a Research Fellow in the Knowledge and Implementation Hub at Aged Care Research & Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA). Prior to this, Vivien was a Research Fellow contributing to Palliative Care Connect and the End of Life Directions for Aged Care (ELDAC) Project. She is also a member of the Research Centre for Palliative Care, Death and Dying (RePaDD).
Vivien is a registered pharmacist who completed her PhD in medicines information optimisation at The University of Sydney. Her consumer-centred user testing research has informed nationally implemented health policy and/or legislation changes to improve medicines information for consumers.
Vivien’s expertise and professional strengths are centred on consumer involvement, health literacy, user testing, health communication, and information design to promote effective communication and engagement with the intended audience(s) of interest.
