Research Biography
Wei Wei is a PhD candidate in the College of Human Sciences and Culture (formerly CEPSW) at Flinders University. Coming from China, she has a Chinese-teaching background in China, and is now a registered teacher in Australia. With Master’s degrees in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, Teaching, and TESOL, she integrates the knowledge of language teaching and pays special attention to children’s language and literacy development in Australia. Her current study focuses on home language maintenance among Chinese families. By investigating the language policies in different social contexts, she hopes to support children’s wellbeing and language development for life-long benefits.
