Description
We believe you are a future leader of the cardiovascular sector who embodies the mission, vision, and values of the ACvA. This includes having a collaborative spirit, generous nature, and genuine desire to make a measurable difference to cardiovascular patient outcomes."
"This year’s program has been carefully curated through a co-design approach involving the ACvA Emerging Leaders Committee, the ACvA, Dr Ken Dutton-Regester of Excite Science and input from cardiovascular EMCR’s and ACvA members through a stakeholder’s workshop held in May 2022. A total of thirty-nine early-to-mid-career researchers* from around Australia have been selected in this year’s cohort, joining a growing alumni network of CV Champions.
By being a part of this program, you will: be exposed to new ways of thinking about your career, learn how to increase your visibility and to position your expertise, discover different approaches to communicating impact across diverse stakeholders, and establish deep and meaningful networks. This year’s overarching theme is ‘developing academic entrepreneurs’, and we’re excited to have you join us on this next chapter of CV Champions.
Lastly, on behalf of the Australian Cardiovascular Alliance we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the many lands from which we will be conducting this program and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners’ continuous connection to lands, water and community and appreciate the first scientists who passed their lessons to the future scientists of today through stories, song and dance.
Once again, congratulations and we look forward to meeting you.
Associate Professor Anna Calkin, Chair of the ACvA Emerging Leaders Committee
Dr Niamh Chapman, Program Lead of the CV Champions Program."
