Description
Enhancing athlete health and wellbeing is a key priority in all individual and team sports. Lower extremity injuries make up 66% of all injuries, with the knee the most frequently injured joint, i.e., Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Many factors influence injury, however poor or abnormal neuromuscular control, specifically at the knee joint, appears to be a primary contributor to the ACL injury mechanism in athletes. Therefore, we are focussed on developing a multicomponent injury-prevention training protocols to reduce lower limb injury risk factors within a basketball athlete population.
