Co-Designing a Care Pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children with Life-Limiting Conditions, their Families, and their Communities

Project Details

Description

Consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous health professionals working in paediatric palliative care resulted in a call to develop community led, culturally safe and responsive care pathways for paediatric palliative care of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This project responds to that call, employing co-design methods routinely used in research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and guided by established toolkit for developing care pathways. These methods will enable development and preliminary testing of a care pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children with life-limiting conditions, their families, and their communities.
