Description

This project aims to improve the quality of maternal healthcare for autistic women by understanding their experiences and needs during pregnancy, childbirth and early parenting, as well as the unique perinatal healthcare needs of gender diverse autistic people. It also aims to understand the educational and training needs of perinatal health care professionals. This will provide preliminary data for the development of a co-designed integrated care pathway to improve the quality of perinatal healthcare for autistic women and gender diverse people.
