Project Details
Description
This project aims to support product innovation and automation with the SE50EV-S injection moulding machine. The project will provide a guidance on product design innovation and automation implementation strategy for MyModular, working closely with MyModular’s contract industrial designer, tool designer (Precimax Tooling) and system integration partner, ensuring that automation elements are effectively selected, validated, and integrated into the manufacturing process.
The project will leverage the expertise of Flinders Factory of the Future to support product design, automation feasibility analysis, technology selection, and integration planning. While MyModular’s in-house industrial designer will lead product development, Flinders will mentor and provide strategic guidance to ensure automation compatibility. Additionally, Flinders will assess automation system requirements, conduct market research on robotics and tooling, and define integration strategies, aligning findings with the system integration company for technical validation.
This project follows a phased approach, covering interdependent phases of (1) product design, (2) tool design and manufacturing, (3) automation. Throughout the process, ongoing engagement with stakeholders will ensure feasibility and alignment with MyModular’s operational needs.
