Project Details
Description
We will focus on developing a new pathway for teaching language that suits the Kanak community. These questions aren’t new but what is new is bringing the AI to this problem. A central goal of the project is to allow the youth of NC to collaborate and have a say in the resources. This will be done within the existing framework of teaching Oceanic languages and cultures at the University of New Caledonia, where 90% of the students and teachers are speakers of a Kanak language.
