Legal Frameworks to Filter Unwantedness: A Critical Lens on Mass Deportation of Non-citizens’

We are seeking this ASSA Workshop Grant to support the proposed workshop on 8-9 Feb 2024. This workshop on mass deportation of non-citizens explores the historical lessons and current challenges of expulsion and deportation of non-citizens. This workshop offers a platform for wider reflections on new challenges of mass deportation in order to seek common ground across disciplines and to consider socio-legal patterns and potential solutions to the challenges of mass expulsion in the 21st century. The output of the workshop includes a special issue of Griffith Law Review to be published in 2024.
