Promoting Mental Health in an Elite Sporting Setting

Project Details

Description

This project aims to enhance the mental health and wellbeing of players at AUFC through three main objectives. First, Quantitative Data Collection will involve a comprehensive survey to assess players' mental health, focusing on issues like anxiety, stress, and emotional resilience. This will help identify key areas of concern and provide a baseline for future improvements. Second, Qualitative Data Collection will involve one-on-one interviews with players, staff, and stakeholders, providing in-depth insights into personal experiences and existing support systems. This will highlight areas where additional support is needed. Finally, Mental Health Education will offer seminars, workshops, and presentations to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and provide players and staff with tools to manage mental health effectively. The project aims to position AUFC as a leader in prioritising mental health and emotional intelligence, fostering an environment that supports both the personal and professional development of players.
