Project Details

Description

The Right Care Right Place project seeks funding of $4,000,000 (GST exclusive) over 4 years (2022 – 2026) to build on and maximise existing investment initiatives across primary care, including Sunshine Coast Eating Disorders Access project (SCEDAT), free accredited GP and MHP Cores Skills Training, National Credentialling and the Eating Disorder Quality Improvement tool for PHNs. Given NEDC's collaborative intent and comprehensive understanding of the ED sector, NEDC will continue to draw on its knowledge and understanding of existing resources and services to ensure maximum utilisation and reduced duplication.
Building on learnings and best practice evidence, the project seeks to further develop an Eating Disorder Coordinators (EDC) model which is flexible and scalable, aligned with the NEDC eating disorder system of care framework, appropriate for national PHN roll out utilising regional needs assessments and joint regional planning frameworks. Working in partnership with 4 PHNs to embed capacity, NEDC will support the design and implementation of localised solutions through a dedicated project manager who will coordinate activity under this grant. Oversight will be provided by NEDC Leadership Team with skills and expertise across all deliverables in the Activity Work Plan.
