Project Details
Description
Flinders University and partners (Mitsubishi Motors, ResourceCo, SA Water) will establish a scalable pathway for second-life EV batteries in South Australia. The project will develop automated manufacturing process for used EV battery integration with battery management systems and demonstrate prototypes in real-world applications. The project team spans the entire supply chain required to develop a circular economy around used EV batteries, with the potential to create a new industry for SA. This initiative aligns with SA’s potential to become a national hub for lithium-ion battery reuse and recycling, creating new industries and jobs.
