Tumbelin Farm Outcomes Evaluation

The research team will produce an outcomes evaluation report based on secondary analysis of the quantitative and qualitative data collected by Tumbelin Farm as of January 2023. The team will analyse data provided by Baptist Care SA for all clients who have participated in the project since February 2020, for whom relevant data exists . Quantitative client outcomes data have been collected at admission, exit, and 3-month post-program follow up. Accordingly, this evaluation would adopt the main outcomes measures of:
• Cessation of alcohol or other drug use
• Reduction in alcohol and other drug (mis)use
o Reduction in number of days of principal (and secondary) drug of concern
o Reduction in number of days of use by substance
• Improved health and wellbeing, taking into account change in
o Physical health
o Mental health
o Relationships
o Housing
o Work/other problems
o Employment activity
o Illegal activity
In addition, the research team will:
• Undertake secondary analysis of qualitative exit interviews to identify client impacts.
• Provide advice on which of the foregoing outcomes measures could be deployed longitudinally for program alumni.
The deliverable will be a brief outcomes evaluation report due 28 April 2023.
