Abstract
Objective: To introduce and chinesize Person-centred Climate Questionnaire-staff version (PCQ-S) and test its reliability and alidity.
Methods: The Chinese version of PCQ-S is formed by using the method of Brislin double translation and retranslation. A total of294 nursing staff in 26 nursing institutions were investigated by cluster random sampling and their reliability and validity were detected.
Results: There were 14 entries in Chinese version PCQ-S, and the critical ratio of each item was statistically significant(P<0.05), and the correlation coefficients between each item score and total score were all above 0.5. Exploratory factor analysis showed that a total of 3 public factors were extracted from safety,daily state and group,and the cumulative contribution rate was 63.79%. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model was well fitted. In the questionnaire, the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.91, the split half reliability was 0.84, the retest reliability was 0.79 (P<0.01). In the questionnaire,the content validity index(I-CVI) of the entry level was 0.8 to 1, and the content validity index (S-CVI/Ave) of the scale was 0.99.Conclusions: The Chinese version of PCQ-S has good reliability and validity, and it can be used as an assessment tool for measuring person centred care climate in pension institution.
