Abstract

The title compound, C₃₂H₂₈B₂O₈, was obtained by the condensation of 1,6-dibenzoyloxy-D-mannitol with two equivalents of phenylboronic acid. The crystal structure confirms that the phenylboronate moieties exist as six-membered rings in the solid state.
