Abstract

Actinomycete culture No. Y-86,36913 belongs to the order Actinomycetales and the genus Kibdelosporangium. It is considered to be a new strain since it differs from known strains in many of its morphological, cultural and physiological characteristics as will be clear from the description hereinafter. It is considered to be a new strain also because it produces a new antibiotic herein called Decaplanin, as will be clear from the description hereinafter.
