Abstract
A review of the book 'Broken Song: T.G.H. Strehlow and Aboriginal Possession' written by Barry Hill is presented. The manner in which the book highlights the cross-cultural scholarship engaged in by Theodore Georg Heinrich Strehlow, who created an epic written work in 1971 from Aboriginal Arrernte and Luritja song cycles in the classics tradition is discussed.
