Abstract
A new genetic donor for the monofloret trait (MF trait) is described. Data on its creation and genetic analysis are presented. The new source is compared with two previously described MF sources. This new MF genotype was identified in the SOAN-22 line, which shows a stabilizing and dominant effect when crossed with unstable or difloral forms. In crosses between SOAN-22 and multifloral forms, segregation either corresponds to monogenic inheritance or significantly deviates from it.
