A novel antibiotic Alisamycin a process for its production and its use [Withdrawn]

Alisamycin a compound of the formula H I oYo- OR 2. A process for the preparation of the compound as claimed in claim 1, which comprises cultivation of the actinomycete culture Y-88,31582 (DSM 5559) under aerobic conditions in a nutrient medium which contains carbon sources, nitrogen sources, nutrient inorganic salts and trace elements. 3. A process as claimed in claim 2, wherein the cultivation is carried out at a temperature between 18 and 400 C. 4. A process as claimed in claim 2 or 3, wherein the Scultivation is carried out at a pH between 6 and 9. 5. A process as claimed in one or more of claims 2-4, wherein the cultivation is carried out at a temperature of 270 C 10 C) and at a pH of about 7. 6. A process as claimed in one or more of claims wherein the cultivation is carried out longer than 23 HOE 90/F 004 7. A process as claimed in one or more of claims 2-6, wherein the cultivation is carried out as a submerged cultivation. 8. A pharmaceutical which contains a' compound as claimed in claim 1 if appropriate together with customary auixiliaries and/or vehicles. 9. The use of a compound as claimed in claim 1 for the 0O preparation of pharmaceuticals having an antibiotic, an antitumour or an antiparasitic action. Actinomycete culture Y-88,31582 (DSM 5559).
