Abstract

The structure of ‘[Th(CF₃COCHCOCH₃)₄]’ has been redetermined from diffractometer data and shown to be [Th(CF₃COCHCOCH₃)₄(H₂O)]. The stereochemistry is in agreement with that determined for the [M(bidentate ligand)4(unidentate ligand)]x± system by a calculation based on a repulsion model.
