Abstract

The wreck site at Drummond Rock (Leeman) was first reported to the Western Australian Museum in 1967 by Rick Hammond (Fisheries Department) and Laurie Payne (crayfisherman). The first examination of the site was made in 1969 by a Museum team, subsequent to the death of Laurie Payne. This paper describes fieldwork and research conducted by students in the Maritime Archaeology Graduate Diploma course in 1981.
