Abstract

SNARES ARE SIMPLER set-ups than cage traps, but it only takes one neck-kill for Payton to toss those crude nooses in the fireplace. No need to garrotte whatever critter's dumb and hungry enough to slink into Heddy's yard, she thinks. Toe stray cats and raccoons. Squirrels and skunks. The raucous, murdering crows. Seems unfair, somehow, snuffing the poor, greedy things without even offering a mouthful of bait...
