The Adelaide Primary Health Network (APHN) commissioned the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA) to map, research, and conduct a planning exercise regarding substance use amongst older persons (50+years), with a particular emphasis on alcohol, opioids/analgesics and anxiolytics. The purpose of the project was to inform the commissioning of alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment services by the APHN over the short to medium term.
