    Abstract

    This book is a contemporary analysis of the most popular sport in Australia. The editors are to be commended for assembling such an expert group of researchers and practitioners who have provided an exceptional book on Forward: Australian football. The book is unique in that it covers a broad range of important topics in the scientific, coaching and social domains. I highly recommend the book as essential reading for all those involved in Australian football; from the junior coach through to the custodians of the game at the highest levels. I congratulate the authors and the editors in producing a timely and outstanding resource.
