Abstract
A simple, inexpensive and versatile gas chromatography modification is presented, that allows sensitive and reproducible analysis of organic volatiles at the trace level by a combination of static headspace sampling (using Porapak Q resin), thermal desorption (using a commercial pyrolyser) and simple cryogenic focussed glc.
