Analyzing DC Bus Voltage Fluctuations Under Abnormal Load Conditions in Electric Vehicles

Abstract

Electric vehicles (EVs) have become increasingly popular in global markets. Research in various fields related to them is rapidly expanding. One key component of these vehicles is the power distribution and supply systems, which include the DC bus. The DC bus connects all electrical components, such as the motor, battery system, and other devices. Single-phase and harmonic loads applied to this DC bus can cause significant distortions and stresses. These distortions can reduce system efficiency and proper functioning. They can also put pressure on components, such as batteries and control systems. This paper analyzes the stresses and harmful effects of single-phase and harmonic loads on the DC bus in EVs. It examines their impact on system stability and performance.
