Abstract
This chapter presents three case studies based on the use of integrated-Promoting Action on Research Implementation in Health Services (i-PARIHS). This determinant framework began as Promoting Action on Research Implementation in Health Services (PARIHS), which proposed that successful implementation was a function of the dynamic interplay between three types of determinants, referred to as constructs: Evidence; Context; and Facilitation. However, PARIHS has been revised a few times, which has led to the integrated or i-PARIHS framework. Although i-PARIHS shares the same underlying philosophy as the original PARIHS framework, the meaning of the Evidence and Context constructs was broadened and a fourth type of determinant was added, Recipients.
