Abstract

Much has changed since Australasian Psychiatry was born in 1993, and the College and its members are justifiably indebted to the past Editors and Editorial Teams. The journal has always aimed to provide evidence-based substance, and experience-based sustenance for integrating the art and science of psychiatry, for and on behalf of the trainees and fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.

Psychiatrists and trainees, with all their tremendous skills and diversity, form the broad community of readers, reviewers, and writers that empower the journal. Accordingly, the challenge for the mid-2020s is to grow the journal in scope and reach so that it better informs, educates, and inspires our membership and the broader worldwide medical-scientific community.
