Abstract
The Australian Humpback Dolphin was described as a separate species from the Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphin (Sousa chinensis) in 2014. Australian Humpback Dolphins are light grey, have a triangular dorsal fin with a wide base, and despite their name, they do not have a visible dorsal hump.
