Abstract

The ASD Scholarships program sponsored by the former South Australian Minister for Education and Child Development, Hon. Dr. Susan Close commenced in January 2016 and this report serves as a completion of the project. The report details outcomes of the key services provided by Flinders University and Autism SA as defined in the Services Agreement signed in October 2015. The report complements the information provided in the previous interim report submitted in May 2017. In essence the project provided funding for 80 teachers and leaders to participate in post-graduate study in the area of Autism. The post-graduate course was designed to build teachers’ and leaders’ capacity to more effectively enhance the quality of educational experiences and outcomes for students diagnosed on the autism spectrum. For management purposes the 80 scholarships were offered across 2 years with group 1 completing the course in 2016 and group 2 in 2017...
