Abstract
Introduction: Despite evidence suggesting injection drug users are more likely to die of tobacco-related diseases than from their other drug use, smoking receives little attention. Medically supervised injecting facilities may be a potential setting for the delivery of smoking cessation care. This study aims to explore the acceptability, facilitators and barriers to the implementation of an organisational change intervention to integrate smoking cessation care into usual care at a medically supervised injecting facility.
