Abstract
Baumhauerite-2a is a silver-bearing mineral having a superstructure derived from a baumhauerite-like structure, with an average composition Pb11Ag0.7As17.2Sb0.4S36. Baumhauerite-2a occurs as an intergrowth with a silver-free baumhauerite in dolomite at Lengenbach, Binntal, Valais, Switzerland. The mineralogical, crystallographic and optical properties of the mineral are described. The mineral is named for its relationship to baumhauerite. -from Authors
