Abstract

Behavioural and pharmacological approaches continue to dominate the treatment of 'challenging' or problematic behaviour. Recent developments include increased interest in the analysis of the effect of the social and biological context of challenging behaviour and assessment of the efficacy of serotonin reuptake inhibitors and naltrexone hydrochloride.
