Abstract

When I was a child living on a highway on Kaurna Yarta, there was a large old shelter tree on the Parra Wirra creek bed. A place near my home where we rode our bikes, and I remember observing that a person was keeping their clothes and a pair of shoes inside the tree. I thought that I would like to be able to do this, to have the tree as my shelter, like our old people had done.
