Abstract
Palliative care is an integral part of cancer care, and accessing good quality resources and evidence-based informati on in an Australian context is important. This paper introduces CareSearch, a website that is the result of the knowledge network project in palliative care.
CareSearch is the only website written specifically for those providing palliative care and those receiving palliative care, and provides practical, up-to-date information that is available at any time. This paper highlights the range of resources that can be accessed to support clinical practice, for education, for patient and carer support, and for audit and research. Health professionals are encouraged to use CareSearch for their own continuing education, with information on how to search the literature and on web based learning modules,
and they can direct colleagues and patients to the site for relevant, up-to-date information.
