Abstract
There is ample evidence to indicate that caregivers are an “at risk” group. The present paper describes a three-tiered project, unique in Australia, which provides psychoeducational support groups for caregivers through a national leadership training programme for health professionals. Results of a qualitative analysis of data provided by leaders-in-training indicate highly favourable outcomes. Evidence for the success of the project is also to be found in its rapid development from a State to National level.
