Abstract

We consider the incompressible BKZ fluid subjected to small in-line and transverse oscillations superposed on steady shearing flow. Investigations are made of the asymptotic behavior of the storage and loss moduli at ultrasonic frequencies. Asymptotic formulae for both shear and normal stress moduli are obtained. We also point out the relationships between the ultrasonic storage moduli and acceleration waves.
