Abstract
This new, biannual feature contains a selection of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) “in progress” of interventions for renal disease, reported on publicly available websites. We have included the title of the trials, their potential study enrolment and source. For more details about these trials, and others, visit our website: www.cochrane-renal.org. Go to “Trials in Nephrology” and then “Ongoing Trials” and follow the links to the appropriate websites.
Also featured are some recently published peer-reviewed reports of RCTs, with a brief summary of each. Our register aims to include every possible published report of RCTs in renal disease; however, these reports have been selected for their relevance and quality, including suitable sample size, and use of clinically important and/or patient-centered outcomes.
Enclosed with this issue of the Journal is a CD-ROM with the bibliographic details of 3,000 RCTs from our register. All reports fully indexed by Medline at the time of production (over 2,800) have a link to their PubMed abstract.
