    Abstract

Nursing is described as an art and science, because the core work, caring,is based on a nurse’s knowledge of the patient condition and the skill associated with it. In the current health care environment, nursing skills are translated into tasks, measured by predetermined budgetary factors that reduce nurses’control over their work. It is known that in this environment, care is missed.
