Abstract

The crystal structure (E)-5, 7-di-t-butyl-3-(3′, 5′-di-t-butyl-5′-methoxy-2′, 5′-dihydrofuran-2′-ylidene)- benzofuran-2(3H)-one, C₂₉H₄₂O₄, has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods at 295 K from counter data and refined by least squares to a residual of 0-086 for 1488 ‘observed’ reflections. Crystals are monoclinic, P2₁la, a 12.136(6), b 10.055(4), c 23.011(11) Å, β 96.87(4)°, Z 4.
