Abstract

With space activities increasingly dominated by commercial space actors, this chapter explores whether there is a need for Corporate Social Responsibility in space and what that might mean for large commercial space actors. With a focus on the Artemis Accords, this chapter concludes that corporate social responsibility and environment social governance areas, activities, principles, and disclosures risk being displaced with unintended consequences for the corporate shareholder purpose of corporate actors.
