Abstract

Individuals with oropharyngeal dysphagia are known to be at risk of dehydration due to inadequate fluid intake. In this chapter, we explore the definition of dehydration, its causes, prevalence, and management, particularly with respect to older individuals with oropharyngeal dysphagia.
