Abstract
Context/background:
Evidence-based practice (EBP) is central to health care provision. Anecdotal evidence suggests that students often fear and
potentially loath research methods topics (Wisecup, 2017). Scaffolded learning (supporting novice learners via incremental learning), helps increase
confidence and skill development (Kusmaryono et al., 2020), and may improve student skills in this crucial area.
