    Abstract

One of the three overarching aims of the Sport Education model is game competency. Competency is a multi-faceted ability comprising perception, decision-making, and at-action motor ability to successfully meet the performance demands of the moment in play. In this paper, we explain how to position teaching for game competency attainment within the Sport Education model, as well as how the teacher may assess game competency.
