Abstract

Anderson-Fabry disease (AFD) is a rare X-linked lysosomal storage disorder, characterized by the accumulation of globotriaosylceramide (Gb3) within the myocardium, leading to structural changes of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) and myocardial fibrosis.1 Historically, research in AFD has focused on the left ventricle (LV),2,3 but recent studies suggest that Gb3 accumulation also affects the right ventricle (RV) and left atrium (LA).
