Abstract

This is Compact Disc with educational, promotional and interpretative materials of the excavations of the 'dugout' mining accommodation (dwellings dug into the bank of the creek) at Mitchell Flat, Burra, South Australia, on 15-21 April, 2000. This work was undertaken by staff and students in archaeology at Flinders University in collaboration with the National Trust of South Australia, Burra Burra branch, the Mid North Regional Development Board and the Regional Council of Goyder. This project is an early example of community archaeology in Australia, undertaken as part of the Burra Community Archaeology Project.
