Abstract
Introduction & Objectives: Active surveillance (AS) is widely accepted as initial management of carefully selected men with low-risk prostate cancer, aiming to reduce overtreatment and its associated side effects. We aimed to compare the outcomes following radical prostatectomy (RP) of AS and non-AS candidates and hypothesised that AS eligibility at diagnosis would be associated with favourable pathological, surgical and also functional outcomes.
